Young Sita makes a living as a prostitute in a karaoke bar, to help support her son. After having been raped, she offers to become an assistant to Johan, an aging photographer who is tormented by the past loss of his wife and son. A relationship of friendship, love and affection is born between the antagonistic characters.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
 Nan Triveni Achnas was born in 1963, in Singapore. She studied film direction in the Faculty of Film and Television, Jakarta Institute of the Arts. She has directed the shorts The Little Gayo Singer (1995) and Invisible Garments, Expensive Soles (2001), as well as the feature films Kuldesak (1999), Whispering Sands (2001), which was awarded, and Bendera (2002). This is her fourth feature film; it won the Special Jury Award in the Karlovy Vary Film Festival (2008).
