Carole is a movie star. In spite of all the fame, she lives almost alone. Her husband works in Hollywood, and seems to despise her. François is a photographer who wishes to record her most intimate moments. They become lovers. They spend two weeks in a hotel where François takes pictures of her. A year later, soon after his wedding, François has a vision.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Philippe Garrel was born in 1948, in Paris, France. He is a filmmaker, photographer, screenwriter, editor and producer. His films have won prizes in important festivals, such as the Cannes Cinema Festival and the Venice Film Festival. His first film, made in 1964 when he was 16, was the short Les Enfants Désaccordés; his first feature film was Marie Pour Mémoire (1967). After these, he has made another 14 films, including L’enfant Secret (1979), Liberté, La Nuit (1983), J’entends Plus La Guitare (1990), Sauvage Innocence (2001), and the film that made him known in Brazil, Regular Lovers (2004), all of which have won prizes. La Frontière de L’aube was part of the competitive show in the Cannes Festival (2008).
