Sammer is a 13-year-old boy who, together with some friends, steals video cameras from tourists in the streets of New York. They sell the devices, but Sammer always keeps the tapes. Alone in his room, he edits the tapes and explores this world of images; he is in love with all of those distant places and with those people who apparently lead happy lives.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Ed Radtke was born in 1962, in Ohio, USA. He studied at the cinema school, NYU, and has made two films, Bottom Land (1992) and The Dream Catcher (1999), which won numerous awards. This is his third feature film; it won the Queer Lion in the Venice Film Festival (2007).
