SOUL CARRIAGE

In contemporary China, a young employee of a building company has no money to celebrate his birthday. When he asks his boss for a loan, he ends up being selected for taking care of the body of an employee who was killed while working. The youth carries the dead body in his van in an attempt to deliver it to the dead man’s family.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
 Conrad Clark was born in Taunton, Englan. He studied cinema and graduated in anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London. Two years of field research in China results in his first feature film. It won the New Director Awards in the San Sebastian Film Festival (2007).
