In 1977, Gary Wilson recorded a brilliant and bizarre LP named You Think You Really Know Me. In his performance he played his jazz/rock/collage dressed only in underwear or wound up in tape, and destroyed female manechins. Suddenly, he disappeared, leaving friends and fans without any information. This documentary explores the life, the disappearance and rebirth of an original North American. Adored by Beck and Matt Groening, and an obsession among LP collectors, Wilson’s album is considered as one of the most personal statements about the 70s.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Other than this documentary, Michael Wolk wrote and directed the film Deep Six and the short film After Class: The Musical. He has also written a piece for the theater, Femme Fatale, which is being prepared for New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Toronto. He published the thriller The Big Picture and The Beast on Broadway.
