Maité and Vincent are married. But Vincent is in prison condemned for 7 years. Their only intimacy is exchanging letters and the weekly visits. Often on her way to prison, Maité is followed by a man. One day she no longer resists and gives herself to this stranger. They become lovers. On a visit day, Maité discovers that her lover is one of the prison guards and that Vincent is his protégé. Maité is now in a trap.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Jean-Pascal Hattu was born in Paris and graduated at the Sorbonne. He studied journalism and worked as an assistant director before making three short films: Coma (1995), Au-dessus de la mer (1997) and Cadeaux (2000). Hattu has also directed documentaries for the French television. This is his first fiction film ;it has been shown in a number of festivals such as in Venice (2006), Rotterdam (2007), Toronto and San Francisco.
