A hotel room and five stories about couples in different stages of their relationships. Intense desires for connection, underlying tension and the attempts to tell the other what one want – and occasionally being successful about it. An intimate and close – and at times uncomfortable – gaze at these people, showing a universal truth: wishing to have a relationship with someone else and knowing how to attain this relationship are two completely different things.

Michael Knowles is a screenwriter, an actor and a director. He directed the short film Nick and Stacey that originated this film (Room 314). He wrote screenplays such as the short film Characters; he acted in TV series such as Sex & the City and Law&Order, as well as in various other movies. This is his first feature film.
