HULDÚFOLK 102
A film by Nisha Inalsingh, Iceland, 2006, 75´.
The original version with subtitles in Portuguese.
There is an invisible nation under the Icelandic appearance of calm: the huldufólk, or the hidden people. When investigating stories about the hidden people, whether they be fairies or other things with a maximum height of 90 cm, it is impossible not to take into account the impact of the geographical position and the isolation of this mysterious country. This original documentary interviews historians, writers, politicians, farmers and workers who speak of the effect of the “invisibles” on Icelandic culture.
