Les Galantine is a minor photographer of celebrities who has great dreams; but he simply cannot enter certain parties to take an important and exclusive picture. He meets Toby, a street kid, who shows Les the shining lights of New York and then becomes his assistant. Les only pays Toby a room, and they become friends. Although enjoying the glamour of Les’s lifestyle, Toby has his own dreams of becoming an actor.
