PROCURA-SE JANAÍNA
A film by Miriam Chnaiderman, SP, 2007, 54´.
There are children that have no place in the world. These are children that have been given over to child-care institutions and that do not develop within expected standards. They have no physical impairment, but do not develop normally. This was the case of Janaína, black, poor and who was sent to Febem in the 1980s. She kicked about in her crib and would hurt herself; she did not speak and did not relate to other children. Two decades later, where is Janaína?
