Johnny (Jane Birkin) is a lonely waitress who works in a roadside snack bar. She becomes interested in Krassky (Joe Dallesandro), a truck driver, regardless of her boss’s warnings that Krassky is homosexual. The fact is that, given Johnny’s masculine appearance, Krassky also becomes interested in the waitress, which makes Padovan (his boyfriend) jealous.
