Four characters and four stories that intertwine in this first film by Hong Sang-Soo. Hyo-Sub (Kim Yui-Seong) is an unsuccessful writer with no money, supported by his lovers. Po-Lyong (Lee Eung-Kyung) is a woman in conflict who meets Sub; but she is unable to end her marriage. Dong-Woo (Park Jin-Seong), a salesman and Po’s lonely and anguished husband. Min-Jae (Cho Eun-Sook) is a young and beautiful ticket seller who does everything to maintain her obsession for Sub. Impotent individuals seeking any kind of connection.
