Donald and Nancy, decadent aristocrats, live reclusive in a mansion with James, their mentally challenged son. Donald is near bankruptcy, and is trying to sell the mansion when Nancy becomes ill. He needs to travel for a few days and asks the nurse Mary to take care of everything. James, however, wishes to prove to his father that he can take care of his mother. He throws Mary out, switches his mother's tables for his own and does not take any medication. A few days later, Nancy is close to death.

Simon Rumley was born in 1970, in England; he is a film director, screenplay writer and producer. He has also directed the feature films: Strong Language (2000), The Truth Game (2001) and Club Le Monde (2002).
